SEIU Healthcare Minnesota offers annual scholarships to members and the children of members. Two of these are specifically targeted at members 30 years old and younger because they are facing greater economic challenges than any generation since the great Depression. Drawings for these scholarships are held in the summer (May and August). No academic performance standards or records required for eligibility. Please submit only one application per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Applicants are not eligible to win multiple awards in any one given year. Click below on scholarship for application.


  • Applicants must be a SEIU Healthcare MN member in good standing or the son or daughter of a SEIU Healthcare MN member in good standing.
  • Membership must be for three continuous years as of the date of the application deadline for the scholarship.
  • Applications must be postmarked no later than April 30th of the current year for the following academic year.
  • The Officers, Executive Board members, and staff of SEIU Healthcare MN are not eligible to participate in this program.
  • Winners are to be selected by lot. Submit only one application per person. 



Got Your Back Scholarship  ($1,500)
for Members 30 years old and under
  • Two “Got Your Back” Scholarships ($1500 each) are available annually, for members 30 years old and younger.
  • Applicants must be a SEIU Healthcare MN member in good standing 30 years old or younger at the time the scholarship is awarded (August 1 of the year awarded).
  • Two winners will be selected by lot. No academic performance standards or records required for eligibility.
